AUTHOR: NAD Stewardship

Everyone is born a steward and remains a steward until death. This means that when Christ was born He was born a steward. The human dimension of His life was characterized by His faithful stewardship. At a young age He said (Luke 2:49):

“And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”

Later in life He said (John 6:38-40):

“For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Those are stewardship statements. A good summary phrase about stewardship is that it is: God-centered living. That is the way Jesus lived and the model for our lives as well.

Appeal: Our offering today is for the support of our Conference ministries. These ministries provide for larger regional impact. Let’s pray.

Prayer: Father, considering the celebrations of the gift of your Son causes us to say thanks. Bless this offering and use it so that the message He brought from You to the world will be proclaimed with power.

In Jesus’ name. Amen.
