Our Conference


An old pioneer and local church leader was famous for having two compartments in his wallet. One was for the Lord, and the other was for himself.


After working hard all day in the fields, he would collect his pay from his employer. As soon as he received it, he would divide his earnings. Part of it went into the compartment for the Lord and the other part went into the compartment for himself.

This man made a deep impression on a young teenager named Arthur G. Daniells, who later became the president of the General Conference.


What an example! We, too, can be encouraged and blessed as we give to support the work of God’s church, right here in our local conference. Thank you for your faithfulness as you participate each Sabbath in the work of sharing the gospel.

Un viejo pionero, y líder de iglesia local, era famoso porque su billetera tenía dos compartimientos, uno era para el Señor y el otro era para él.


Después de arduo trabajo todo el día en el campo, él cobraba su pago del agricultor para el cual él trabajaba. Tan pronto lo recibía, él dividía sus ingresos. Una parte iba dentro del compartimiento para el Señor, y la otra parte iba al compartimiento para él.


Este hombre hizo una profunda impresión en un joven adolescente llamado Arturo G. Daniells, quién más tarde llegó a ser presidente de la Asociación General.


¡Qué ejemplo! Nosotros también podemos ser alentados y bendecidos al dar para sostener la obra de la iglesia de Dios, aquí en nuestra congregación local. Gracias por ser fidelidad cada sábado mientras participa en la obra de compartir el evangelio.
