Today’s offering: Our Church Budget
How do you define success? Some might say, living a comfortable life is being successful. Others might suggest that true success is having the means and abilities to purchase anything they wanted. Some may define success by having a certain degree, a certain job or career, living on a certain street, or driving a certain type of car, or all the above. Or another might suggest that true success is having the ability to be happy with what you have.
In Philippians 4:12, Paul shares his secret to success, “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.”
Imagine what could happen if we would practice contentment, the principle of true success. Imagine, if instead of having-to-have-it, we gave to the advancement of God’s Kingdom. Our offering today will support the ministry of our local church. May God grant us all true success today.
Let’s pray, “Lord, thank You for Your blessings. You have given so much for us and today we have come to worship You through our giving. Please take these gifts and increase Your Kingdom. Continue to teach us to be content in all things, at all times. We thank You for hearing our prayer, In Jesus name we pray, Amen.”
